1. Who provides the service

Carvix is a project operated from Romania. „We" in this document refers to the Carvix team. Contact: contact@carvix.ro.

2. About the service

Carvix is a web app for tracking personal vehicle fleets: vehicles, expenses, revisions, documents and expiry alerts. The features currently available are those documented in the app. We add or change features over time and notify you about significant changes.

3. Account and authentication

• •You must be at least 16 years old to create an account
• •The email you use must be real and accessible — we use it for alerts and password recovery
• •Keeping your password safe is your responsibility. If you suspect unauthorized access, change the password immediately and contact us
• •One account = one person. For family fleets use the sharing feature; do not share the same account

4. How you may use the service

Please do not use Carvix for:

• •Illegal activity or violating others' rights
• •Attempting to access other users' data without authorization, via the app or API
• •Storing personal data about other people without their explicit consent
• •Automated requests (scraping, bots) that degrade service for other users

5. Free and Premium plans

The Free plan is free and includes 3 vehicles, sharing with one person and all core features. Premium (€5/month) will launch after user validation and adds unlimited vehicles, extended sharing, attachments and AI. No paid plan is active before launch. When we do introduce paid plans, you will see the terms clearly at checkout and may remain on Free if you prefer.

6. Your data and backup

• •Backup is automatic — Carvix stores your data encrypted with daily replication
• •You can export your data anytime (JSON or CSV) from /account
• •We still recommend periodic local exports for peace of mind

7. Limitation of liability

Carvix is provided „as is". Reminders for inspection, insurance and vignette are helpful, but the responsibility to verify and renew on time stays with you. We cannot be held liable for:

• •Losses caused by incorrect data you entered
• •Delays or missing notifications (email issues, spam filters)
• •Financial or legal decisions made solely on displayed data
• •Temporary unavailability due to technical issues (maintenance, cloud provider outages)

8. Suspension and account deletion

We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. Before suspension we send an email and give you a chance to respond. You may delete your account anytime from /account → Delete account.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when we ship features that change them, or when the law requires it. For significant changes we email you at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after that date = acceptance.

10. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by Romanian law and applicable EU regulations (in particular GDPR). Disputes are resolved first by reaching out to contact@carvix.ro. If that fails, the competent courts are those in Romania.
